Sunday afternoon, not so Miserable

This has been a fun day. Collegiate rugby on television, les Miserable on PBS – granted they are begging, it was still nice to watch even with the interruptions. The one that they were playing here on WETA was the 25th anniversary performance recorded at the O2 in London.

Fun trivia – there was a performer that played Cosette 25 years ago when the show first opened to rather poor reviews and now is lending voice to the Madame Thenardier.  (It was fun seeing Matt Lucas as the only ‘inn keeper’ in the village.) (Must know Little Britain for this to be funny.)

For a young lad, Eponine has quite a set of lungs in this production – On My Own was beautiful.

Quick, to the barricade…
